Genshin Impact 7.0 release time in your time zone

Genshin Impact patch 7.0 is coming soon, finally taking us to the icy region of Snezhnaya and introducing us to a whole new batch of characters from the new area.

Below, we explain when Genshin Impact maintenance starts and ends, alongside the release time of version 7.0. We’ve also added some details about what to expect from Genshin Impact version 7.0.

What time does Genshin Impact go down for maintenance?

Genshin Impact will go down for maintenance on Tuesday, Aug. 11 or Wednesday, Aug. 12 (depending on your time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:

• 3 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the west coast of North America
• 6 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the east coast of North America
• 7 p.m. BRT on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for Brazil
• 11 p.m. BST on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the U.K.
• 12 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for western Europe
• 7 a.m. JST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for Japan
• 8 a.m. AEST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for the east coast of Australia

Make sure to burn your resin before maintenance starts, if you wanted to, but since we’re getting a new region, you may want to save some of it to farm the new materials that are being added alongside Snezhnaya.

What time does Genshin Impact version 7.0 start?

Genshin Impact should come back from maintenance with the 7.0 version at the following times:

• 8 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the west coast of North America
• 11 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the east coast of North America
• 12 a.m. BRT on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for Brazil
• 4 a.m. BST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for the U.K.
• 5 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for western Europe
• 12 p.m. JST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for Japan
• 1 p.m. AEST on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for the east coast of Australia

The servers may come up early or late, depending on how maintenance goes, but these are the approximate times 7.0 should go live. Usually, Hoyoverse is pretty good by abiding by maintenance times. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but it does end early sometimes!

What’s new in Genshin Impact version 7.0?

We’re back to actually numbered patches (no more Luna-whatever) as we go to Snezhnaya after years and years of waiting. We finally meet the Tsaritsa that has been pulling the strings and collecting the gnosis, and we get introduced to a whole new cast of characters. Version 7.0 introduces Cryo-user Odette (five-star) and Electro-user Alyosha (four-star) as playable characters, and the Traveler will get a more bundled-up snow-appropriate outfit as part of this update.

There’ll also be several limited-time events that reward the usual smattering of Primogems and upgrade materials, with the flagship event, “Great Expeditionist Challenge,” starting on Aug. 28. This event will reward a crown and a copy of Diona, as well as some other goodies.
