Ghirardelli’s Easter Chocolate Collection Hops to Shelves With New Flavor

Ghirardelli has a special surprise in store for fans of its iconic chocolate bunnies.

The cult-favorite chocolatier has made bunny-shaped chocolates a tradition for decades, and quite frankly, we can’t imagine a season celebrated without one. Thankfully, we don’t have to. In fact, this year, fans are getting even more options to choose from.

On Wednesday, the Ghirardelli chocolate company revealed it’s launching a brand-new flavor this year: Milk Chocolate Cookie Bunnies, coming in addition to the classic hollow milk chocolate bunny and a few other seasonal faves.

“Spring is a time of celebration and connection with loved ones, and our Easter collection is crafted to be part of those moments, whether it’s the tradition of tucking a chocolate bunny into a basket or sharing a new favorite flavor,” Bobby Oliver, vice president of marketing at Ghirardelli, shared in a statement on March 11. “This year, we’re excited to introduce our Cookie Bunnies alongside the classics our fans look forward to every spring  because we believe Easter deserves the same quality chocolate our fans enjoy all year long.”

According to an official description provided in a press release, the new Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Cookie Bunny combines Ghirardelli’s velvety milk chocolate with satisfyingly crunchy cookie pieces for a “playful twist” on its seasonal treat.

The newcomer joins Ghirardelli’s flat-back, festive Milk Chocolate Caramel Bunnies, which are filled with luscious, rich caramel, as well as its classic Milk Chocolate Hollow Bunny and other springtime favorites—including Ghirardelli’s Dark Sea Salt Caramel Bunnies Bag, Milk Sea Salt Caramel Bunnies Bag, Solid Milk Chocolate Bunnies Bag, Bunnies Assortment Bag, Spring Mini Squares Assortment Bag, and Milk Chocolate Caramel Bunny Gift.

Ghirardelli’s new Milk Chocolate Cookie Bunny, along with its other Easter-themed treats, will be available in a 5.8-ounce share-size bag filled with individually wrapped candies. It has already been spotted on shelves at Walmart, but it’s not exclusive to the mega retailer. Instead, fans can expect to find the new item at most major retailers nationwide as well as online via the official Ghirardelli website for about $11.29 (prices may vary). But just like the rest of the chocolatier’s seasonal offers, this Easter collection will only be available for a limited time, so those interested in snagging a bag should really hop to it!
