Great Lakes Capital and Nebraska Furniture Mart, in partnership with the City of Cedar Park, have announced the development of a full-service Marriott hotel and convention center in Cedar Park, Texas, expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027.
Great Lakes Capital (GLC), an Indiana-based real estate development and private equity firm, has partnered with Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) and the City of Cedar Park to develop a new full-service Marriott hotel and convention center in CedarView, Cedar Park, Texas.
This ambitious project will feature a state-of-the-art hotel with approximately 300 guest rooms, a 30,000-square-foot event and meeting space, a full-service restaurant, a breakfast café, and an expansive pool area. The hotel is expected to become a central attraction for CedarView and a go-to destination for business and leisure travelers.
Ryan Rans, Managing Partner at Great Lakes Capital, emphasized the firm’s commitment to creating vibrant, connected communities that elevate the standard of hospitality. Rans expressed excitement about collaborating with NFM and the City of Cedar Park and highlighted the project’s transformative potential.
Ryan Blumkin, Executive Vice President of NFM, highlighted that the hotel and event space would provide a critical resource for Cedar Park and the greater Austin area. Blumkin emphasized the project’s goal to create a destination that blends convenience, sophistication, and community.

Construction is slated to begin in May 2025, with an anticipated opening in the first quarter of 2027. The new hotel and event space will catalyze further growth and development in Cedar Park, providing an unmatched venue for events, conferences, and everyday leisure.
