Glenn Close Spills the Truth About Kim Kardashian's Acting

14 May 20252 Mins Read

After her turn on American Horror Story: Delicate last season, fans have been waiting with baited breath to see just how good Kim Kardashian will be when she’s starring in her own show. Now, her Oscar-nominated costar Glenn Close has opened up about her acting abilities on the set of their legal drama All’s Fair.

“I was so impressed by Kim,” Close, 78, told E! News on May 13 at the Disney and ABC 2025 Upfronts red carpet in New York City. “I say that absolutely sincerely. First of all, she’s a very sweet woman, she does her homework, she has great people around her, which says a lot. She’s not a prima donna. She was studying for her law exam during some of the setups near the end of our shooting. She has a lot of balls in the air.”

The new series, which was created by American Horror Story boss Ryan Murphy, stars Kardashian in the lead role of Allura Grant, a high-powered lawyer helming an all-female firm that specifically works with women clients. Alongside Kardashian and Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Teyana Taylor star.

Taylor, 34, also attended the Upfronts with Close and touched on her own experience with Kardashian and her onscreen skills. “Her ability to remember her lines, she’s so good with that,” the singer-songwriter explained to E! News. “And she’ll keep reading it over and over and over again. It’s dope to see. We had some really great scenes. We bond a lot.”

Despite the fact that she is not an actress by trade, it’s not entirely surprising to see her making her lead debut in a legal drama. She is the daughter of well-known California attorney Robert Kardashian and has herself been studying law for several years. She passed the California baby bar exam in December 2021, which was documented in season one of The Kardashians on Hulu.

Elizabeth Berkley, Grace Gummer, Ed O’Neill, Judith Light, and Brook Shields will all have recurring roles on the first season of the series. Hulu and Disney+ have not yet revealed an official release date for the show, but it is set to premiere in the fall on those platforms.
