Gordon Ramsay recently invited a celebrity guest to appear in a video on his social media, ostensibly to make a meal together, but fans were seemingly too distracted to care about the food.
In a Nov. 23 video posted by the chef, actor Matthew McConaughey stood next to Ramsay in front of a cooktop to chat about cooking.

“Right, I’m with chef Matthew McConaughey cooking a beautiful steak and eggs,” said Ramsay as McConaughey quipped “and I’ve been eating it. There’s not as much left as there was before.”
The clip shared on Instagram was part of a longer video posted by Ramsay on YouTube where he joined forces with the Oscar winner to cook a ribeye steak and eggs, and McConaughey didn’t hold back when it came time to ask for tips and tricks in the kitchen.

Ramsay then flipped the script on McConaughey, asking for advice on how to deliver one of his most iconic lines from Dazed and Confused. “How do you get the voice so grainy?” asked Ramsay.
McConaughey helped the celebrity chef get into character, telling him to lean his head back, “put your hand up on the steering wheel,” and pretend he was “driving in on the last day of school to go pick up a good-looking lady over there.”
He continued, sharing the character’s motivation in that moment. “You got three out of four things you want in your life, and you’re going to get the fourth,” McConaughey said, prompting Ramsay to utter in a gravelly voice, “alright, alright, alright.”
“Bingo,” said McConaughey. And it was a bingo indeed for fans of the duo, but despite the video’s attempted focus on cooking, the comments on the video on Instagram were not so much hungry as thirsty.
“Yeah this is prob top 3 of things I’ll see today,” said one fan, while another wrote “Please invite me next time 🙋🏼♀️.”
“I love his voice,” said one fan, with another jumping in to add that there was “Too much handsomeness in one post.”
