Grouse Mountain’s iconic 24 Hours of Winter is back this weekend after seven years

24 February 20263 Mins Read

It’s been seven years since skiers and snowboarders could glide across the snow for 24 hours straight at Grouse Mountain, and the beloved tradition is officially back this weekend!

Returning as part of Grouse’s 100th year and centennial festivities, the winter celebration turns Grouse into a “24-hour alpine playground.”

“For a century, guests, families, and friends have gathered at The Peak of Vancouver to ski, snowboard, and create lasting memories,” shares Emily Leak, communications manager at Grouse Mountain Resort. “We’re thrilled to honour that legacy with the return of the epic 24 Hours of Winter event, for the first time since 2019, and to bring our community together in celebration of our shared love of winter.”

In addition to all-night skiing and riding, guests can take part in a gear demo, a skate party under the stars, yoga at sunrise and sunset, and plenty of other winter festivities

Here are all the events to look forward to at 24 Hours of Winter this weekend:

Saturday:

  • Gear Demo Day with Burton from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • DJ Skate Party under the stars from 6 to 10 p.m.
  • LED Torch Parade at 7 p.m.
  • Complimentary Sunrise & Sunset Yoga at 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. (pre-booking required)
  • Late-night terrain park Jam Over The City from 9 to 11 p.m.
  • Après at Altitudes with DJ and F&B specials from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Sunday:

  • Pancake Breakfast by donation to Family Services of the North Shore from 7 to 10 a.m.
  • Complimentary Sunrise & Sunset Yoga at 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. (pre-booking required)

Note that a complimentary shuttle will run between Grouse Mountain and Canada Place on Saturday and Sunday, with multiple stops on the North Shore between Grouse and Lonsdale Quay overnight on Saturday.

How much is admission?

Mountain admission (for Canadian residents) is priced at $39 per child, $49 for youth, $59 for seniors, and $74 per adult. Those who want to take part in the skiing/snowboarding extravaganza can opt for a Ski/Ride Day or Night Lift Ticket instead, depending on the time of day you want to ride.

A new Y2Play Centennial Pass will also soon be on sale in the coming weeks, giving mountain-goers ski and ride access for the rest of the season, as well as all of the 2026/27 ski season. So, stay tuned for more info to come.

Mark your calendars, snowbirds!

When: Saturday, Feb. 28 to Sunday, March 1, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. on Saturday through 9 p.m. on Sunday
Where: Grouse Mountain
Cost: $39 to $74 for mountain admission
