Siari, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, has announced the appointment of Guillermo Varela as General Manager. The resort is scheduled to open in Winter 2025. It will be located within the 800-acre private community of Nauka, situated between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific Ocean on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. This will be the ninth property in the Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio and the second in mainland Mexico.

Varela will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the resort, which will feature 86 keys, including a five-bedroom presidential suite. The property will also include 34 turnkey four- and five-bedroom ocean view residences.

The resort will offer a range of amenities, including a 4.5-mile swimmable beach, five culinary venues led by chef David Castro Hussong, an 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course, and a wellness center inspired by local traditions. Additional features include a kids’ club with educational programming, a new high-speed toll road providing access, and proximity to Puerto Vallarta International Airport and Tepic International Airport. The Nauka community will also have a helipad and a marina.

The resort’s design is being handled by Bernardi + Peschard Arquitectura, based in Mexico City, with an emphasis on integrating the natural surroundings of jungle, mangrove, and ocean views.
