Hailee Steinfeld and Mike Tyson among celebs coming to Fan Expo in Toronto

19 August 20253 Mins Read

We’re just days away from the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Canada, Fan Expo. The annual event brings hundreds of thousands of people to Toronto for a multi-day experience surrounded by pop culture fans and surprise guests. Besides spending a weekend with like-minded people, many fans will also get the chance to meet some of their favourite celebrities. And this year, there are some heavy hitters.

What started as a small comic book convention has transformed into a multi-faceted event with visitors from around the world. It’s all going down this weekend, Aug. 21 to 24, 2025, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

What to expect at Fan Expo

This is your chance to celebrate all things pop culture. You can get an autograph or a photo with your favourite celebrity, visit a vendor booth and stock up on memorabilia, and even watch professional comic artists battle it out on Sketch Duels.

There are also “How To” workshops you can take part in.

As for guest appearances, past Fan Expo Canada has seen the likes of Stan Lee, Patrick Stewart, Buzz Aldrin, Christopher Lloyd, Elijah Wood, Leonard Nimoy, Carrie Fisher, Gillian Anderson, and many, many more.

But this year, we have a few new faces.

Celebrities coming to Fan Expo Canada 2025:

  • Hailee Steinfeld (Sunday)
  • Michael J. Fox (Friday and Saturday)
  • Ewan McGregor (Saturday)
  • William Shatner (Friday and Saturday)
  • Tom Welling (Friday to Sunday)
  • Mike Tyson (Saturday)
  • John Boyega (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Tyler Hoechlin (Friday to Sunday)
  • Ashley Greene (Saturday)

  • Kellan Lutz (Friday to Sunday)

And there’s more where that came from. For the full list, including voice actors, click here.

Are tickets still available?

As for individual tickets, those start at $40 and can increase depending on the day you go.
