Halle Berry is putting her money where her mouth is, encouraging anyone willing and able to contribute desperately needed necessities to victims of the Los Angeles-area fires while doing so herself.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, the actress, 58, took to Instagram with a video highlighting her generous donation.
“I’m packing up my entire closet and heading over to the COOP!” she wrote alongside a clip showing off the storefront. “If you live in the Southern California area, I urge you to do the same.”

She continued, “This is something we can do right now today to help all of the displaced families that are in need of the basics today!”
It seems that Berry was inspired by Sharon Stone, who also posted about donating to the store on Jan. 8. “Thank you @sharonstone for your leadership,” she concluded. “Love you Lady ❤️.”
Jenna Cooper’s +COOP storefront has become a free shopping center for victims of the California fires, offering displaced families clothing, cell phone chargers, toys, pet leashes and beds, backpacks and more free of charge through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m every day.

Berry inspired plenty of others to do the same, with Michelle Pfeiffer wondering if she could swing by with donations later in the week.
