Hilton has announced the introduction of its Hampton by Hilton brand in Thailand. This marks a significant expansion in the midscale segment of Southeast Asia’s hospitality industry. The debut will be marked by the opening of Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town.
This introduction brings Hilton’s brand count to nine in South East Asia, where the company currently operates 110 properties, with plans to expand its portfolio by over 50% in the coming years.
The upcoming Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town is part of Hilton’s recent growth strategy, which includes the recent addition of two Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the Philippines and three new Hilton Garden Inn properties in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This addition will further solidify Hilton’s leadership in Thailand, which currently holds the company’s largest portfolio in South East Asia, with 30 properties and 11 more in development.
The Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town is in Thailand’s largest island, known for its serene beaches and unique Sino-Portuguese heritage. With Phuket International Airport an hour’s drive away and about 10 minutes to Rassada Pier, one of Phuket’s busiest piers, the hotel will feature 112 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center. The property is set to be a prime destination for business and leisure travelers and is expected to open in the third quarter of 2026.
Hilton, with a portfolio of 24 world-class brands, operates more than 8,600 properties and nearly 1.3 million rooms in 139 countries and territories.
