Harrison Ford's First Emmy Loss Leaves 'Shrinking' Fans Very Upset

15 September 20252 Mins Read

Harrison Ford attended the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 14, alongside his wife, Calista Flockhart. The couple walked the red carpet together in somewhat of a rare outing, excited for Ford’s first Emmy nomination.

Sadly, however, Ford, 83, didn’t win for his role in Shrinking. Instead, the award for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series went to Jeff Hiller for his role in Somebody Somewhere. Fans of Shrinking were surprised that Ford didn’t earn the win, given his incredible performance on the series.

It didn’t take long for X to fill up with comments from fans who were genuinely upset that Ford lost.

“He’s accomplished pretty much everything you can accomplish as an actor. But Harrison Ford was robbed,” one person wrote.

“I don’t know how Harrison Ford keeps losing these awards. Sure, Shrinking isn’t the best show ever, but his performance is his best ever,” someone else said.

“Harrison Ford delivered one of the most breathtaking and hilarious performances of the decade. I’m so freaking sad,” a third comment read.

“So we are seriously going to just force Harrison Ford to continue to give one of the greatest performances of his career but not award him for it,” a fourth X user added.

According to Showbiz 411, Ford and Flockhart left after the category winner was announced.

Ford joined the cast of the Apple TV+ show in 2023, playing Dr. Paul Rhoades, a therapist who has Parkinson’s disease. Following the show’s third season, Ford gave an emotional speech to the cast and crew. A video of said speech was shared on social media.

“You guys are the best. The very, very best at what you do and how you do it. And how you make people feel is just f****** amazing,” he said. “I love this place. I love working with you guys. I hope we can all get back here and do it again.”

Shrinking marks Ford’s first television role.
