Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Edmonton’s KDays 2026

21 May 20264 Mins Read

KDays is Edmonton’s annual summer festival, taking over the city with games, concerts, and fun all around.

I’ve gone a couple times myself, and it’s almost a tradition to go at least once if you truly call yourself an Edmontonian. It’s so much fun with friends, family, or a date. There’s so much to do, and it’s honestly an endless cascade of experiences.

The thing is, though, a lot of information can be thrown at you at once. You’ll need to find out where to go, where to park, how much tickets cost, who is playing at the concerts, etcetera. It becomes a huge hassle, and I’ve gone through the trouble myself— it’s not fun.

This is why we’re rounding up all the information you need before KDays rolls around this July. So, let’s get into all the things you need to know for this year’s summer fest.

How to get there

This festival takes over the Edmonton Expo Centre and Exhibition Grounds each summer, with this year’s dates being July 17 to 26. The question is, what’s the best way to get there without spending hours looking for parking?

Good news: Edmonton provides free Park and Ride lots around the city that provide convenient access to downtown and the festival grounds. You can find the exact stations to visit on the KDays website, which outlines which routes to take as well.

If you’re going to take on the mission of finding parking at the Expo Centre, here are a couple of things you should know: KDays parking is pay-by-plate parking, which will have a daily rate of $20 per vehicle. Nearby paid parking can also be found at Concordia University across the street. It’s $15 per vehicle and a short walk to the midway grounds.

What to expect

For the festival itself, there’s going to be so much to do.

The biggest thing, in my opinion? All the midway rides, games, and food.

These fun rides take over the exhibition grounds for exhilarating experiences. If you’ve already been on most of the rides in previous years, you can expect two more rides coming this year: Downdraft and Super Miami.

Find yourself getting hungry? The Foodie Fairway will have you covered with something exceptional to try at every stand. There’s also the New Food Competition, whose lineup can be expected ahead of the festival.

While you eat, there’s an opportunity to sit down and take in some music or watch a live show.

This year, there’s a new show called Wassa Africa by Cirque Kalabante, which will have multiple showtimes throughout the ten days. The stage will have the audience see acrobats execute gravity-defying moves, breathtaking contortion, and more, all to the traditionally inspired West African rhythms.

As for concerts, we have a whole story outlining how to get tickets and who exactly is playing this summer. Keep in mind, concerts are free with general admission, but you can buy tickets if you’d like to upgrade your concert experience.

For a full list of headliners, we’ve got Ty Dolla $ign, Down With Webster, Mother Mother, MICO, Connor Price, Peach Pit, bbno$, Noah Cyrus, Pennywise, and The Beaches. I’d recommend keeping a lookout for the openers, who’ll bring just as much energy.

If you’re ready to spend a day, or maybe even a couple, at the fairgrounds, we’ll see you this summer. This is an Edmonton classic for a reason.

When: Friday, July 17, to Sunday, July 26, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Edmonton Expo Centre and Exhibition Grounds — 515 118th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $15.45+
