Here’s what to know about the new Canada Strong Pass and all of the perks

16 June 20252 Mins Read

The federal government is encouraging Canadians to explore their great country this summer, made easier with the all-new Canada Strong Pass. The announcement came today, June 16, 2025, stating that from June 20 to September 2, 2025, all can enjoy “expanded access” to the country’s nature
and culture.

The perks of the Canada Strong Pass are pretty sweet and include the following:

  • Free admission for all visitors to national historic sites, national parks and national marine conservation areas administered by Parks Canada, 25% off on camping fees.
  • Free admission to National museums and the Plains of Abraham Museum for children aged 17 and under, and a 50% discount for young adults aged 18 to 24.
  • Free VIA Rail travel for children aged 17 and under when accompanied by an adult, and a 25% discount for young adults aged 18 to 24.
  • Free admission for children and a 50% discount for young adults aged 18 to 24 at “selected participating provincial and territorial museums and galleries”

While the pass is an awesome perk for Canadians, the benefits can be utilized by those visiting Canada as well. The best part? No registration required. Yep! You just have to show up to wherever you plan to utilize the benefits.

“We’ve seen an incredible show of unity from Canadians since the beginning of the year. Our Canada Strong Pass aims to make it even easier for families to choose Canada—to discover the beauty of our country, connect with nature, and enjoy our culture all summer long,” shares Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture.

Canadian summers just got even better, and we can’t wait to take advantage of the Canada Strong Pass.
