Here’s what to know about the Toronto Flower Market this weekend

4 May 20263 Mins Read

The Toronto Flower Market kicks off its first floral market experience of the year this weekend.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Toronto’s annual market of all things green and floral is coming to Queen Street West on Saturday, May 9.

What to expect

From stunning greenery to brightly coloured bouquets, the outdoor market showcases the most stunning displays of Mother Nature’s creations. Expect to find stunning grown flowers, plants, vases, and even honey. “Come early if you want the best picks (you do!), bring a tote, bring someone you love or find them there,” shares TFM on an Instagram post.

Shoppers will get the chance to purchase wonderful Ontario-grown plants and flowers from local vendors.

It’ll last until the fall season, as the market celebrates and supports locally grown plants all year. You’ll find everything from tulips to orchids, carnations, roses – the list can go on and on. Expect more seasonal blooms as the season progresses.

Shoppers can find the flower market at its usual location, 1001 Queen St. W. at CAMH.

I don’t know about you, but I always know when the flower market is in town because it seems as if everyone in the city is walking around with flowers wrapped in craft paper.

“No two flower market days are ever the same. Each brings its own gathering of local growers and florists, their buckets overflowing with blooms grown close to home,” shares the website for this season’s market.

“Colours shift, varieties come and go with the season, but the smiles of our guests, vendors, and volunteers remain a constant.”

A busy weekend ahead

That portion of Queen Street West is going to be busy this weekend, as another market just up Ossington is taking place on Saturday as well. The Archive Market is bringing more than 15 carefully selected vendors to its upcoming sale on May 9. Shoppers can expect to find vintage clothing, women’s wear, Y2K fashion, and unique jewellery as they browse the market offerings.

Sounds like shopping is about to take over our weekend, and we’re not mad about it.

Now all that’s left is planning where you’ll display your incoming blooms.

When: May 9, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Queen Street and Shaw Street
Cost: Free admission
