July 1 is hot on our heels, and the city will celebrate with live music, cultural showcases, and fireworks, but what if you need to do a last-minute errand? Whether you’re having a BBQ or entertaining out-of-town guests, you’ll need to know what is open and what is closed on Canada Day in Calgary.

What’s open

Movie Theatres

Want to catch a flick on Tuesday? Check out Landmark Cinemas and Cineplex Theatres. They will all be open on July 1.

This upcoming Tuesday, Maple Ridge and Lakeview, all Calgary-owned golf courses, will also be open. To make a tee time, head to the City’s website here.

Grocery and Liquor Stores

Need to make a last-minute beer run or need to stop at the grocery store? You’re in luck. Most liquor and grocery shops will be open on July 1.
