Here’s what’s open and what’s closed in Toronto this Labour Day weekend, Life in canada

30 August 20256 Mins Read

It’s hard to believe, but Toronto’s summer is almost over, as Labour Day weekend is upon us.

Time moves swiftly in a fast-paced city like the 6ix, but this year, it felt like the season went by in a flash.

Labour Day is the unofficial end of the summer, as we dip our toes into fall weather over the coming weeks.

However, it gives us a chance to celebrate the workers who keep Toronto running.

Unlike the Civic Holiday, Labour Day is a statutory holiday in Ontario, which means banks, several government offices, some grocery stores, and many shopping centres will be closed.

This year, Labour Day falls on Monday, September 1.

If you’re wondering what’s open and what’s closed in the city on the day, don’t sweat it; we’ve compiled a complete guide of everything you need to know. We’ve also included a list of things to do in Toronto on the long weekend.
