Here’s where to get your car and your dog cleaned in Calgary

6 August 20253 Mins Read

If you headed out of town for this past August long weekend, chances are you might have some more dirt on your rims than you’d like.

Or maybe you’ve yet to give your car a good wash all summer long. Here’s your official reminder: it’s time to bust out the suds!

Luckily, there are plenty of independently owned self-serve car washes in Calgary. There are even a few where you can wash your car and your best furry friend at the same time.

So, if you’ve gone on a few summer adventures already and both your car and your enthusiastic pooch are in need of a good scrub, here’s where to go to get them both squeaky clean.

This wash promises to pamper your pooch as the only professional pet wash in the city. Chaparral Wash has three dog wash stations complete with dog-friendly shampoos, conditioners, blow dryers and aprons for both you and your furry friend. It’s like a luxury spa for your pup! Each semi-private tub includes a ramp, making it accessible for pooches, young and old. If you’re looking to give your pup a paw-some spa day, look no further.

Where: 1800 194th Ave. SE

Conveniently located in the Douglasdale Shopping Centre on 24th Avenue in southeast Calgary, at Paws ‘n Wheels, you can clean your dog and get a bit of shopping done too. The wash is open seven days a week until 11 p.m., so it’ll be ready and waiting after your late-night escapades. With six wash bays and an accompanying semi-private pet wash, you and your pooch will be fresh and clean in no time.

Where: 210-11540 24th St. SE

There’s nothing fancy about this car wash just off of Heritage and Fairmount Drive, but if you’re looking for something cheap, quick and dirty, this is definitely the place. Reviewers brag about good water pressure, sudsy soaps, and plenty of wax and spotless rinse options. There’s also a pet wash station here, but you’ll need to bring your pooch to the parking lot to let them air dry.

Where: 8350 Fairmount Dr. SE

This wash is located in the north, so it’s perfect for after or before trips to the unrivalled Nose Hill Park. With 12 wash bays and a vacuum in each one, Royal Oak Wash is professional, convenient and clean. They also have tearless soap and warm water, which gets a definite big paw up from any pooch.

Where: 7707 112th Ave. NW

It’s bath time for your truck and your pup. Get scrubbing!
