Here’s where to make your own custom perfume in Toronto

30 January 20262 Mins Read

Looking for a unique way to spend a night with friends or celebrate a birthday/special occasion? Orris Labs is a perfume and cologne-making workshop in Toronto, where all are welcome to come make their very own signature scent.

“Guests are introduced to the world of perfumery, learning about the different types of notes, ingredients, and techniques used to create scents,” shares Orris Labs.

The Toronto studio is located at 326 Davenport Rd., and once you’ve booked your session, the fun begins. According to Orris Labs, the workshop will start with “an overview of the history of perfume, the different fragrance families, and the art of scent blending.”

There are over 50 notes to choose from as you explore the oils, aromatic compounds, and more. You’ll be guided by an expert perfumer as you go along, who will help you achieve the perfect “you” scent.

At the end of your workshop, you get to bring home a bottle of your new perfume. No more wishing a perfume you’ve dreamt up in your head exists in-store, you’ve now made it yourself.

One of the coolest parts is that if you love the scent you created, Orris Labs actually keeps it on file for you, so if you would like to reorder a bottle, you can do so.

Sessions start at $85 per guest, or $169 per two guests. If you’re not located in Toronto, Orris Labs has two other locations in Mississauga and in Niagara.

Fellas, if you haven’t gotten your gal a Valentine’s Day gift yet, this could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Happy scent making, Toronto.
