Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) is proud to announce Rebecca Bennett, CHAE, as the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) of the Year Award.
Rebecca currently serves as the controller at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Charleston, S.C. Originally from Sunset Beach, N.C., she brings over a decade of specialized accounting experience within the golf club industry, demonstrating excellence and leadership in financial management.
Since joining HFTP in 2023, Rebecca has distinguished herself through her dedication to advancing her professional expertise. She made it her goal to obtain the CHAE certification, a designation recognized globally as the symbol of achievement in hospitality accounting.
“Earning the CHAE certification, to me, reflects a stronger commitment to the financial management aspect of the hospitality industry,” Rebecca shared. “It integrates both my experience and knowledge to demonstrate a high level of professional capability in upholding standards, driving informed decision-making, and contributing meaningfully to an organization’s overall success.”
In addition to her professional achievements, Rebecca is pursuing her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, further underscoring her commitment to excellence in her field. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, engaging in health and wellness activities, and traveling.
The CHAE of the Year Award honors an individual who has shown outstanding dedication to both their career and to HFTP’s mission of advancing hospitality finance and technology. Rebecca’s accomplishments and commitment exemplify the spirit of this recognition.
HFTP will formally recognize Rebecca at the upcoming 2025 HFTP Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla. on October 22–24.
