Hilton is set to expand its presence in Europe’s resort market by adding four new franchises in Greece, Portugal, and Croatia under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and Curio Collection by Hilton brands. The resorts, namely Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort & Spa and Sound of the Sea Karpathos in Greece, Casa de Sada Algarve in Portugal, and Hotel Preko Ugljan in Croatia, are scheduled to open within the next two years.
Hilton’s continued growth in Europe’s resort market is part of its strategy to increase its global presence. In the last five years, the company has doubled its resort offerings to more than 350 properties worldwide.
Alan Mantin, vice president of development for Southern Europe at Hilton, expressed excitement about bringing four new resort properties to Greece, Portugal, and Croatia. He noted that the global demand for high-quality resort accommodations continues rising, with Mediterranean locations particularly popular among Hilton Honors members.
Hilton’s new Mediterranean resorts aim to cater to the growing trend of travelers seeking destinations that offer relaxation and culturally enriching experiences. Nicole Tilzer, vice president of All-Inclusive & Resort Strategy at Hilton, stated that the new properties combine serene coastal retreats with authentic, destination-inspired offerings alongside Hilton’s signature hospitality.
In 2024 alone, Hilton opened 10 new resorts across Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Malta. All Hilton properties offer benefits to members of the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program, including the ability to earn Points for hotel stays and experiences.
