Hilton has signed Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts, a 173-accommodation resort and residential development in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, expected to open in 2029.
The development will be located on a nearly 40-acre titled beachfront estate extending from a rainforest ridge to 650 feet of Pacific beachfront. It is minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park.
Maravé Manuel Antonio will include 57 resort accommodations and 116 furnished residences. The seven-story resort component will have 42 ocean-view guest rooms and 15 private hillside bungalows, each with a plunge pool.
The residential component, Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Residences, will comprise 66 private villas, 46 oceanfront condominiums and four penthouses overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It will be the first LXR Residences development in Latin America.
Sales are expected to launch in fall 2026. Construction is anticipated to be completed in late 2028, and the property is expected to open in 2029.
Carazo Arquitectura is designing the project, which will follow the site’s topography and retain greenery on the property. The project is expected to include Costa Rica’s largest mass timber structure. Chicago-based Curioso is designing the interiors.
The resort will include direct beachfront access and a Beach Club with multiple pool areas, oceanfront dining, bars, beach and pool cabanas, poolside lounge areas and concierge support. Two restaurants are planned, along with all-day and poolside food service.
Other planned facilities include the MARAVÉ Speakeasy Bar, a spa and wellness area, a fitness center, and a youth and activity club with indoor and outdoor programming. The bar will provide reserved-seating priority access for residence owners and guests.
The signing marks the planned Costa Rica debut of LXR Hotels & Resorts.
