Hilton (NYSE: HLT) will add more than 2,000 new Hilton Garden Inn rooms across China, reinforcing the brand’s presence in major business centers such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, while broadening its footprint into emerging leisure destinations across China.

The signings, secured with multiple owners at the Hilton Garden Inn Investment Summit in China, underscore strong market confidence in Hilton Garden Inn · Gen A, a prototype developed specifically for the China market. In 2025, the brand achieved 100 signings across business and leisure destinations in China—the highest among international mid-market brands. Since the launch of Hilton Garden Inn · Gen A, the brand has enhanced its offering across design, business functionality and facilities, addressing both the emotional and practical needs of travelers while setting new benchmarks for the upscale segment in China.

Nong Xia, president, development, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton, said, “Over the past decade, Hilton Garden Inn has built a strong presence in China through localized innovation, earning the trust of owners and the market. Leveraging our brand strength and scale, we continue to strengthen Hilton Garden Inn’s position in China’s upscale hospitality. Looking ahead, we will further enhance our products and services, expand into both business and leisure travel segments, and deliver sustainable long-term returns for our owners and investors.”

Hilton Garden Inn is Hilton’s upscale yet approachable brand, known for delivering elevated essentials and thoughtful amenities that help guests stay productive, relaxed, and at their best. Offering high-quality accommodation, reliable food and beverage options, and service that is both efficient and attentive, Hilton Garden Inn is designed to meet the needs of today’s modern travelers seeking comfort and consistency in the places they want to be.

Hilton Garden Inn · Gen A hotels that have already opened in China feature business-friendly and lifestyle-oriented amenities. From nature-inspired designs evoking a “city garden” ambiance, to relaxed yet efficient 4-in-1 multifunctional spaces, the hotels meet growing demand for sophistication and value, setting a new benchmark in approachable upscale stay experiences in China.

Hilton Garden Inn · Gen A continues to advance its “core cities and leisure destinations” growth strategy, expanding its footprint across transportation hubs and central business districts in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, alongside emerging travel destinations. New signings span high-growth regions including the Greater Bay Area, the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and other high-growth, tourism-focused markets, reinforcing the brand’s focus on capturing both urban and destination-led demand.

The brand is marking its first entry into Lushan Scenic Area and Mingyue Mountain in Yichun, while strengthening its presence in key business hubs with new developments in Beijing Future Science City, Guangzhou Huangpu Luogang Science City and Chengdu Tianfu Square. The signings include:
