Hilton has expanded its presence in the Caribbean with the opening of the Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas, marking its first property in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The hotel, located across from Havensight Mall and overlooking Long Bay, features 126 rooms. This development is part of Hilton’s strategy to grow its footprint in the Caribbean, where it currently operates approximately 50 hotels.
Owned by Haven Development and managed by Hotel Equities, the Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas offers amenities including a 3,800-square-foot patio, a 2,000-square-foot pool deck, and 850 square feet of event space. The hotel also includes a fitness center and a full-service bar and lounge named The Helm, which is open to the public.
The hotel provides a complimentary hot breakfast for guests and features a bar and lounge area with views of the bay. The property is situated close to shopping and dining options, with Charlotte Amalie attractions 1.5 miles away, Cyril E. King Airport 4.1 miles away, and Magens Bay Beach 4.5 miles away. The hotel’s proximity to the cruise pier makes it accessible for travelers arriving by sea.
Haven Development has committed to supporting local charitable organizations and contributing to the Virgin Islands Department of Education to enhance public school programs. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to engage with the local community.
The opening of the Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas aligns with Hilton’s broader expansion plans in the Caribbean and Latin America, where the company currently operates over 290 hotels and has an additional 140 projects in development.
