Hilton has signed an agreement to open two hotels in Manchester, including Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton and the city’s first Motto by Hilton.
Hilton has announced plans to expand its presence in Manchester with the signing of an agreement to open two new hotels in the city. The development will include the Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre and the Motto by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly, in partnership with Dean Street Developments Limited.
The Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre will be located in Deansgate. This 22-story hotel will be the largest Hampton by Hilton in Europe, featuring 358 rooms. It will include amenities such as a fitness area, meeting space, and a dining zone. The hotel is situated near Deansgate-Castlefield railway station, providing convenient access to Manchester Airport. The opening is scheduled for early 2026.
The second development, Motto by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly, will mark the debut of the Motto brand in Manchester. This 21-story hotel will be situated in the Piccadilly Basin, near Manchester Piccadilly Station. Set to open in 2027, the hotel will feature 154 rooms, as well as a restaurant, bar, and fitness space.
Both hotels will benefit from Manchester’s extensive transport links, including major train stations and a tram system, offering quick access to Manchester Airport. The city attracts over four million domestic visitors and 1.7 million international tourists annually, with more than 11 million overnight stays each year.
