Hilton to Increase Hotel Portfolio in Asia Pacific by 50%

Hilton is set to expand its luxury and lifestyle hotel portfolio in Asia Pacific by at least 50% in the coming years, with several new openings planned across the region.

Hilton has announced plans to significantly expand its luxury and lifestyle hotel portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. The company currently operates over 160 hotels in these categories. It aims to increase this number by at least 50% in the coming years, driven by rising demand for experience-driven stays as travel and tourism gain momentum in the region.

Recent openings include the Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho, marking the brand’s debut in the region, as well as the Waldorf Astoria Osaka and the Secan Hotel Qingdao, Curio Collection by Hilton. Over the next 12 months, Hilton plans to open several new properties, including the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai Qiantan, Canopy by Hilton Shanghai Belfry Plaza, KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton, Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Further expansion plans include the debut of the Waldorf Astoria Bali in 2027, marking the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in Indonesia. In 2026, Hilton will open NoMad Singapore and Canopy by Hilton Makati in the Philippines. Additionally, Hilton plans to open seven Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts properties in Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Sydney, Xi’an, Tokyo, Delhi, and Bali.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts will expand in Jaipur, Kuala Lumpur, Nagoya, Bangkok, and several locations across China. LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut in Bengaluru, Hiroshima, Xi’an, and Signia by Hilton will debut in India. The Curio Collection by Hilton will arrive in Bengaluru, Wuxi, and Langkawi, while Canopy by Hilton will open in Bangkok and Okinawa.

Hilton’s expansion strategy is supported by its acquisition of a majority controlling stake in Sydell Group, aimed at expanding the NoMad brand worldwide. The company has also formed an exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, providing guests access to numerous independently owned luxury hotels globally.

Globally, Hilton plans to add more than 100 future luxury and lifestyle hotels to its development pipeline this year. By 2025, the company expects to add three new luxury and lifestyle hotels per week, totaling 150 new hotels in its portfolio this year.
