Hilton to Open New NoMad Hotel in Detroit’s Michigan Central Station

In a significant development for Detroit’s hospitality and tourism sector, Hilton will introduce the NoMad Detroit hotel within the historic Michigan Central Station by 2027. This initiative is part of a broader effort to transform the iconic station into a vibrant tech and cultural hub.

The new hotel will occupy the upper floors of the station’s tower, which will feature nearly 180 rooms, including 30 suites. This marks the first time these floors will be utilized since the building’s original construction. Michigan Central Station, originally opened in 1913 and designed by architects Warren & Wetmore and Reed & Stem, has been underutilized for decades.
