Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Pacific6, a Long Beach-based investment and development group, to open the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach in downtown Long Beach, California. The grand opening follows an extensive multi-million-dollar renovation combining historical elegance and modern luxury.
Situated 25 miles south of Los Angeles, the Fairmont Breakers offers high-end accommodations and top-tier amenities. Built in 1926, the property has been meticulously renovated to offer a mix of old-world charm and modern luxury. It features the city’s only luxury spa and rooftop bar, a sunlit pool terrace, and two signature restaurants, including the beloved Sky Room.
Mark Steenge, General Manager of Fairmont Breakers Long Beach, expressed his pride in reviving the iconic landmark, remarking on the hotel’s commitment to luxury, elegance, and high-quality service. Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the hotel’s importance to the local community and its role in enhancing Long Beach’s reputation as a thriving destination.
The Breakers property has long been a distinctive icon along the Long Beach skyline, attracting famous personalities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Cary Grant. The hotel exhibits a vintage charm and modernity blend, with 185 guest rooms and 22 suites designed with an elegant coastal palette. Modern design elements have preserved and enhanced the property’s historic features.
The hotel features five distinct food and beverage concepts, offering a variety of culinary experiences. The Sky Room, a fine dining restaurant, offers an extensive menu with Whole Roasted John Dory and California Wagyu Beef Wellington dishes. Nettuno, inspired by the Italian coast, serves authentic Italian home-cooked meals. The hotel also features Halo, the only rooftop bar in Long Beach, and Alter Ego, an upscale jazz bar.
The Fairmont Spa, a 10,000-square-foot facility, offers massages, facials, and body treatments. The hotel also includes a two-story fitness center and outdoor pool.
Fairmont Breakers Long Beach is set to become a premier destination for meetings and events, offering nearly 10,000 square feet of flexible event space.
Room rates at Fairmont Breakers Long Beach start at $349 per night. The hotel joins Fairmont’s extensive collection of properties across California and marks the brand’s 89th property worldwide.
