PENN Entertainment has officially opened a new hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus, representing a $100 million investment and adding 203 rooms to the property. The 150,000-square-foot tower features 183 standard rooms and 20 luxury suites. Amenities include a full-service bar and restaurant, The Hill Eatery & Lounge, conference rooms, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace.
Hollywood Casino Columbus is scheduled to introduce an expanded high-limit table games room and a speakeasy bar in the third quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. PENN Entertainment estimates the overall expansion will add 150 new jobs at the property.
A grand opening ceremony for the hotel was held yesterday afternoon, with special guests and dignitaries in attendance. Events scheduled for today include a processional led by The Ohio State University Alumni Band, a concert by Bret Michaels, a fireworks show, and a chance to win a 2026 Indian Motorcycle. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. EST.
The Columbus hotel tower is the third of four previously announced retail development projects by PENN Entertainment to be completed. In 2025, PENN opened a new land-based casino in Joliet, Illinois, and a new hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas. The company plans to open the new Hollywood Casino Aurora on June 24, 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Another relocation to a new land-based property in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is anticipated to open in 2028, also subject to regulatory approvals.
