Hollywood Legend, 68, Cusses at Photographers During Red Carpet Premiere

30 May 20252 Mins Read

Hollywood legend Tom Hanks, 68, had a few choice words for photographers at the red carpet premiere for the new Wes Anderson film, The Phoenician Scheme.

While posing for the New York event, held on May 30, Hanks jokingly cussed at photographers who were snapping his pictures, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

“Can you hurry it up so I can get to these people? You and your cushy jobs. I want to be right where [the other photographers are],” said Hanks, while feigning extreme annoyance, causing the photographers to laugh.

Once Hanks started to leave the area, the photographers voiced their disappointment. Hanks responded by telling them to “Shut the f—k up,” which caused more laughter. Hanks also smiled during the interaction.

As fans are aware, Hanks has had a reputation of being a “nice guy” in the entertainment industry. Hanks mentioned that title during a June 2021 interview on CONAN, hosted by Conan O’Brien. The actor said that he can occasionally get stern in his everyday life.

“I don’t like when people take advantage of my good nature,” said Hanks in the 2021 interview. “And when that happens there’s a code word in the family. When I use there words, ‘Let me get this straight.’ That means I’ve gone off the deep end.”

Hanks then provided an example of a situation where he has gotten stern.

“‘Let me get this straight, you were supposed to hold this table, and we were 10 minutes late, and you gave it away? Let me get this straight,'” said Hanks.

O’Brien responded by quipping, “I don’t like that your example was about a reservation they didn’t hold.”

“It should have been, ‘Look that spleen was meant for me. That was my spleen,'” continued O’Brien.

Hanks then joked the incident occurred at a Chuck E. Cheese.

“It was Chuck E. Cheese and we had 14 3-year-olds. And they gave away our table,” said Hanks during the interview.
