Honda wants you to teach its new robot lawnmower Canada reviews

16 October 20252 Mins Read

Ever wanted a robot lawnmower you can ride? If the answer’s yes, then Honda has something for you. The Japanese company will be debuting its new ProZision series of riding mowers at the Equip Exposition 2025 in Kentucky next week, one of which Honda says can trim your grass “without needing a human operator on board.”

But you will need a person on board, at least to start with, which explains the initially-confusing presence of a seat. Honda says the ProZision Autonomous model does work independently, but only after a rider has taught it mowing routes and patterns that it locks in with satellite navigation. After teaching the mower, users can pick routes and settings using an accompanying app if they want it to work autonomously.

Honda’s specs and marketing material for the mower suggest it will be aimed at professional landscapers, not average gardeners. It has a cutting width of 60-inches and a runtime covering up to 15 acres, depending on conditions. Minoru Kato, the general manager of Honda’s motorcycle and power products operations, said the mower was specifically “developed to help reduce various burdens on landscaping businesses facing challenges such as an aging and workforce shortages.”

It’s likely to cost a fair bit as well. Honda hasn’t revealed the pricing for the Autonomous unit yet, but says manual ProZision models will cost $32,999. It says it will be available in the US in summer 2026.
