Hotel101 Global has entered into agreements with Canopy Sands Development to construct two hotel projects in Cambodia and scheduled to be completed by 2028. The developments will be located in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, with the former set to feature approximately 700 rooms and the latter around 680 rooms. Both projects are expected to be among the largest hotels in Cambodia by room count upon completion.

The Phnom Penh project will be situated on a 2,033 square meter site in the Tonle Bassac district, a key economic and cultural area. The hotel will include standardized 21-square-meter units, known as “HappyRoom,” and amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, dining facilities, and business spaces. The location is strategically positioned near major landmarks, including Aeon Mall 1 and the Independence Monument.

In Sihanoukville, the hotel will be part of the Bay of Lights development, a significant coastal project led by Canopy Sands Development. The 4,623 square meter site will host the hotel, which will also feature the “HappyRoom” units and similar amenities to those in Phnom Penh. The Sihanoukville hotel will be adjacent to a proposed international convention and exhibition center and is located near the Sihanoukville airport.

The Cambodian market is viewed as a promising area for Hotel101 Global, with the country having received over 6.7 million international visitors in 2024. The upcoming opening of the Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh is expected to boost tourism further. These projects mark Hotel101 Global’s entry into its sixth country, following developments in the Philippines, Japan, Spain, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.

The two Cambodian hotels are projected to generate approximately $109.55 million in sales revenue once fully operational. They are part of Hotel101 Global’s broader strategy to expand its portfolio to 50,000 rooms in the Philippines and ultimately reach 1 million rooms worldwide across 100 countries.
