In the final moments of the season 3 premiere of the hit HBO series, Schwarzenegger’s character, spoiled rich boy Saxon Ratliff, goes full-frontal in an uncomfortable scene at the fictional Thailand resort.
The actor told Today that he watched that episode with his family, with all of them having “different reactions to seeing me completely nude.”
“My dad thought it was hilarious. My mom didn’t even really understand what was happening. You know, everyone had a different kind of thought,” Schwarzenegger shared.
As for his fiancée Abby Champion, Schwarzenegger said she “melted into her chair” and “was kind of flustered by it.”
Though he told the outlet “there’s no rules” to watching the show with his family, he “probably will take a hiatus from watching with them for the next couple episodes.”
He didn’t give any spoilers, but Schwarzenegger hinted that his character’s most pivotal moments “are yet to come.”
“One of the themes is kind of you enter the White Lotus as one person, and you leave as another. Who are you when everything that you thought you were is taken away?” he asked.
Schwarzenegger expounded further on the topics explored on the series, sharing that “that’s something that’s really relevant and prevalent for Saxon, and of really dealing with him walking into the White Lotus as the most confident and sure person of who he is. And everything gets completely questioned in his experience there.”
