How to win the Flower Festival in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

27 August 20253 Mins Read

There are many different festivals and events to take part in during Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, but one of your very first is the Flower Festival.

While you don’t have to partake in every single event that the game offers, it’s usually a good idea to do so. Not only do you get prizes if you win, but it also helps raise your friendship meter with all the residents of Zephyr Town. Pretty useful for anyone looking to get to know people without committing to speaking to them each and every day!

If you’re eager to get that all-important trophy and be the flower that blooms the brightest, read on below to find out how to win the Flower Festival in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

How to take part in the Flower Festival

The Flower Festival occurs in both the first and second year of your time on the farm, taking place from Spring 11 to Spring 12. Don’t worry, you’ll be told by Mayor Felix what to expect a couple of days before, but the festival’s name tells you what you need to know. All it requires is for you to be well-stocked on the flower front.

To take part in the Flower Festival, head to the town square on Spring 11 where you’ll speak to the mayor. He’ll explain that you’ve got until tomorrow to gift as many flowers as you can to your fellow residents.

Thankfully, that’s simple enough because of how many flowers you can find scattered around Zephyr Town’s many areas, mostly by the town’s lake, but even on your farm, too.

You can also grow your own flowers in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar to give them out to people, but I’d advise just grabbing the flowers you see around town. The flowers you grow can be useful in other ways, particularly when you want to make bouquets to sell in the marketplace, and you don’t want to waste them, even if it’s on the people in town.

How to win the Flower Festival

As you only have a single day to give people flowers, it’s paramount that you stock up on them beforehand. Again, there are plenty of flowers to find in the mountains, in town, and even on your farm, so finding them shouldn’t be much of an issue.

The player character is told they are the winner of the Flower Festival with 26 flowers given out. Image from Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. Image: Marvelous Inc./XSEED Games via Polygon

The Flower Festival in the original game, Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar took place over 4 days and required players to give out over 40+ flowers to win. Because the remake takes place over a single day, you don’t have to get as many flowers to win this time around.

While I don’t know the exact number, I managed to snag the trophy and win by giving out only 26 flowers overall. (Another Polygon writer won the festival with a mere 22 flowers, too.)

You get a lovely trophy to take home, as well as a prize for your victory. But the biggest win of all? Making friends along the way, of course.
