HSMAI DC Panel Will Examine the Economic and Commercial Forces Shaping Hotel Strategy

In Brief: The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Washington, DC chapter will convene a panel to analyze current economic and commercial forces impacting hotel strategy, providing industry professionals with insights into adapting business approaches amid changing market conditions.

A panel of experts will convene to help lodging professionals address economic uncertainty when planning 2027 budgets at the annual State of the Industry event Aug. 19  hosted by the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

The program at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf will feature Jessica Carey, Knowland customer operations vice president; Richard Golinowski, Washington Dulles International Airport vice president and airport manager; Blake Herring, Amadeus head of travel intelligence solutions consultants Americas; Jennifer Hill, Kalibri senior vice president, commercial strategy; and Robin McClain, Destination DC chief marketing officer.

“As organizations look toward 2027 budgets and strategic planning, having timely, relevant and expert-driven insights is critical,” said Jeremy Huvard, Donohoe Hospitality Services vice president of sales and marketing and HSMAI DC chapter president. “Our State of the Industry program is your go-to source for current analysis, actionable trends and practical guidance designed specifically for industry professionals navigating what’s next.”

Registration and a networking reception will begin Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. Early-bird registration through Aug. 10 is $90 for HSMAI members and $115 for nonmembers. Beginning Aug. 11, registration will be $105 for members and $130 for nonmembers. Click HERE to register. Bridge Badge smart badges will help attendees identify shared interests and make more meaningful connections during the event.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a new backpack appropriate for a middle school student. The backpacks will be donated to a school in the DMV.

The State of the Industry will be cosponsored by Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf, Knowland by Cendyn, Amadeus, Kalibri, Dulles International Airport, Destination DC and Bridge Badge.
