Petra AM acquires citizenM Rome for ADIA
French asset manager Petra AM, on behalf of sovereign wealth fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), has acquired the four-star, 162-room citizenM Roma Isola Tiberina in Italy, for an amount reported to be between €70 million and €80 million (€432,000 to €494,000 per room). The property is situated by the River Tiber in central Rome, on the edge of the historic Trastevere district. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and meeting room. Another Star, the original developer of the citizenM brand before selling to Marriott in mid 2025, will continue operating the hotel under a citizenM franchise.
AX Partners acquires Hotel Casa Luz in Barcelona
Spanish private equity real estate firm AX Partners has acquired the four-star, 65-room Hotel Casa Luz in Barcelona, Spain, from a group of Catalan families, for an amount reported to be €40 million (€615,000 per room). The hotel includes a restaurant and bar and is situated in central Barcelona by the Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. Spanish owner-operator Pulitzer Hotels will continue operating the hotel. In May 2026, AX Partners also acquired the four-star, 21-room Be Mate Passeig de Gràcia aparthotel in Barcelona, as reported in this newsletter.
Extendam and Redcliffe Capital acquire Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort in Santorini from Fais Group
French private equity firm Extendam, together with London-based investment firm Redcliffe Capital, has acquired the five-star, 103-room Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort in Santorini, Greece, from Greek retail and lifestyle conglomerate Fais Group, for an amount reported to be €28.3 million (€275,000 per room). The property is situated in the beachside village of Kamari on the eastern coast of Santorini, a ten-minute drive by car from Santorini Airport. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar, private beach and several pools. Fais Group invested approximately €20 million (€194,000 per room) in the development of the resort, which opened in 2021. Greek operator Mitsis Group will continue managing the hotel.
Silken acquires Hotel Antequera Hills in Andalusia, Spain
Spanish owner-operator Silken Hotels has acquired the four-star, 186-room Hotel Antequera Hills in Andalusia, Spain. The property is situated in the historic center of Antequera, near the El Torcal Natural Park, a 50-minute drive north of Malaga. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and nine meeting rooms. Previously operated by Spanish operator GAT Hospitality, the hotel will now be managed by Silken and rebranded as Hotel Silken Antequera Hills.
