Hyatt Announces Completion of Park Hyatt Tokyo’s 19-Month Restoration

Park Hyatt Tokyo has reopened following a 19-month renovation, marking the most extensive update in the hotel’s 30-year history.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the reopening of Park Hyatt Tokyo after a comprehensive 19-month renovation. This project represents the most significant update in the hotel’s three-decade history since its original opening in 1994—the renovation aimed to preserve the hotel’s legacy while modernizing its facilities to meet current hospitality standards.

The restoration involved collaboration with the Paris-based design studio Jouin Manku, with a focus on preserving the hotel’s architectural integrity while introducing contemporary design elements. The hotel, located in Shinjuku Park Tower, occupies the upper 14 floors of the building and offers panoramic views of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji.

The renovation included updates to the hotel’s 171 guestrooms and suites, which now feature redesigned layouts and modern amenities. The Park Suite, measuring 915 square feet, offers expansive living and dining areas with views of Harajuku and Shibuya. Other specialty suites, such as the Diplomat and Presidential Suites, have also been refreshed with new furnishings and design elements.

Dining options at the hotel have been enhanced with the introduction of Girandole by Alain Ducasse, a restaurant offering a blend of French and Japanese culinary traditions. The Peak Lounge & Bar, located under a glass atrium, now features a new cocktail menu highlighting regional Japanese ingredients.

The hotel’s wellness facilities, Club On The Park, are located on the 45th and 47th floors and offer fitness and spa services. The area includes a swimming pool, Technogym equipment, and private treatment rooms.

The reopening of Park Hyatt Tokyo marks a significant milestone for the property, which has been a notable feature of Tokyo’s skyline and hospitality landscape since its debut.
