Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Birkla Investment Group have announced their plans for the Hyatt Centric Cincinnati, which will open in 2026. The hotel will feature 170 rooms and mark the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand in Ohio. The hotel will be located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, offering convenient access to the city’s attractions. Birkla Investment Group will own the property, while Commonwealth Hotels will manage it.
According to Dan Hansen, Hyatt’s global head of Americas development, the Hyatt Centric Cincinnati aims to provide guests with a unique experience that allows them to immerse themselves in the city’s culture and community. The hotel will be designed in a modern, timeless style, featuring local artwork and decor. The aim is to connect guests and the destination, enhancing their overall experience and sense of place.
The project will be developed in the AT580 building, a premier mixed-use facility. Tony Birkla, owner of Birkla Investment Group, stated that the development would blend the building’s rich history with modern luxury, offering a dynamic space for residents and visitors. The project plans to include hotel rooms and upscale restaurants, marking a first for Cincinnati.
