Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney, a 174-room hotel in the Haymarket area, marking the brand’s entry into Australia and the Pacific region.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney, a new hotel located in the Haymarket neighborhood of Sydney. This marks the introduction of the Caption by Hyatt brand to Australia and the Pacific region. The hotel features 174 rooms and is situated near key transport links, including the Light Rail and Central Station, as well as landmarks such as the Capitol Theatre and Sydney’s Chinatown.

The hotel includes a social hub called Talk Shop, which combines a café, bar, co-working space, and venue. The space is designed to facilitate connections among guests and locals through events like poetry nights and live music. The culinary offerings, led by Chef Yammi Cheung, include a variety of dishes inspired by Sydney’s multicultural scene.

Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney incorporates local art into its design, featuring works by Sydney artist Chris Yee, Melbourne-based Samy Baby, and Japanese-Australian artist Hiromi Tango. The hotel emphasizes sustainability with locally sourced food and energy-efficient technologies.

The hotel offers a range of room options, from Standard to Deluxe and Premium, with views of the neighborhood and city skyline. Each room includes distinctive wall art by local artists.

World of Hyatt members can earn 500 Bonus Points per qualifying night for stays at the new hotel from October 13, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Further details on participating hotels and offers are available on the World of Hyatt website.
