Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Miches, Dominican Republic.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, located in Miches, Dominican Republic. The resort is part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection and features 500 suites. Each suite includes a private terrace or balcony, with options for ocean views and swim-out access. The resort offers 24-hour room and concierge service, along with a variety of entertainment and activities.
The resort’s Preferred Club accommodations include personalized check-in and checkout, upgraded minibars, and access to exclusive pools and beach areas. The resort also features eleven dining venues and seven bars, offering a range of international and local cuisine.
The Secrets Spa at the resort provides wellness and beauty treatments, including a hydrotherapy circuit and various spa services. The resort also includes a fitness center, tennis courts, and facilities for water sports and other activities.
Guests can explore the Miches region through excursions such as hiking, kayaking, and seasonal whale watching. The resort has collaborated with Promiches, a local organization, to install a protected sea turtle nest along the beachfront.
Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa offers over 15,000 square feet of event space for weddings and corporate gatherings. The resort’s Public Square, shared with the upcoming Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, provides dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
The neighboring Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa is scheduled to open on September 1, 2025, and will cater to families and multigenerational travelers. Guests of Secrets Playa Esmeralda will have access to the amenities at Dreams Playa Esmeralda after its opening.
