I visited a viral Toronto medical clinic’s new Yorkville location and left glowing

11 June 20254 Mins Read

Kris Jenner’s not the only one getting snatched lately. I’m deep in my wellness era, and with summer around the corner, I’m being more mindful of what I put into my body and how I treat my skin. So, I figured it was time for a reset. One of Toronto’s most viral medical clinics, Tight Clinic, just opened a sleek new location in Yorkville, and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Tight Clinic Yorkville is giving Parisian vibes

Tight Clinic has seen soaring demand for appointments, so opening a second location, especially in Yorkville, was a natural next step. Founded by Karmen LaMer, the luxurious clinic has been a go-to in Toronto’s beauty scene since 2019. The new spot offers the same sought-after treatments as the original Wellington location, with a few added perks.

The Yorkville location opened earlier this month, so I cleared my schedule and booked myself in.

If you’re not looking for it, you might miss it. Tight Clinic is found on the second floor of 199 Avenue Rd. There’s no signage outside, but there is a buzzer that will get you right in. As soon as you step inside, you’ll know you’re in the right place.

Interior space

I made my way through its doors and up to the reception desk, where the lovely staff had me sign in and take a seat while I waited to be called.

The space is small but stylish, chic, cozy, and inviting. It gives off an almost “members-only” feel, with thoughtfully curated decor pieces that elevate the entire experience.

It wasn’t long until I got called up and made my way to the private room.

I decided to go for the Forma Facial as it was highly recommended, considering it’s the OG treatment that started the clinic years ago.

The knowledgeable practitioner filled me in on what I should expect pre- and post-treatment, and we were off.

For those who may not know what a Forma Facial is, here’s a little explainer.

According to Tight Clinic, it is a thermal skin rejuvenation treatment. “Forma uses radio frequency advancement to provide optimal skin contraction in the deep layers of your skin.”

The radio frequency stimulates the formation of new collagen and contracts the layers of your skin for an improved appearance on the skin’s surface.

This was not my first time having a Forma Facial, so I knew what to expect. It’s a tingly sensation, but even for someone like me who has sensitive skin, it wasn’t overwhelming.

We worked on my chin and jaw for the most part to tighten the area as much as possible. The procedure did not take long either, which is a bonus.

Would I come again?

The experience was fantastic, and I’m not just saying that. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and eager to talk about my skin care journey.

Tight Clinic is also celebrating the opening of its Yorkville location with a grand event on June 17 and 18, featuring major giveaways — some valued at over $10,000.

From premium skincare to Tight treatments, Lagree and Barry’s classes, and more, it’s set to be a big one. Plus, there’ll be surprise door prizes revealed on the day. It all goes down from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s rare to walk into a place for the first time and feel like you’ve already found your go-to spot. But that’s exactly what this visit did, and I’m excited to see where this glow-up journey takes me next.
