Ian Schrager Company and Highgate announced a joint venture to expand the PUBLIC hotel brand into additional markets globally. According to the announcement, Highgate will operate and manage PUBLIC hotels in collaboration with Ian Schrager, who will retain full creative authority, vision, and brand stewardship.
The partnership is structured to combine Highgate’s management and operational expertise with Schrager’s creative direction for the PUBLIC brand. Highgate manages a portfolio of hotels with over 80,000 keys across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe.

The announcement also referenced a forthcoming food-and-beverage collaboration at PUBLIC New York, to be announced later this year. In addition, PUBLIC West Hollywood is planned to open in the Spring.
