A legendary rock band with a career spanning seven decades is adding something unexpected to their 2026 touring schedule: wellness.
The Beach Boys have announced a new addition to their upcoming The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day, introducing a “Meditate with Mike Love” experience as part of the event’s growing lineup.
Set to take place on May 16 in Santa Monica, California, the event blends music, movement and community, celebrating 60 years of The Beach Boys’ iconic album, Pet Sounds, while also supporting environmental efforts. The band is partnering with the Surfrider Foundation, encouraging participants to contribute to initiatives focused on protecting coastlines, reducing plastic pollution and improving ocean health.
Now, with the addition of meditation led by frontman Mike Love, the event is taking on an even more holistic feel.
“As a veteran meditator and yoga practitioner, I am thrilled and honored to be a part of this special day in Santa Monica, my backyard, celebrating wellness and community,” Love shared via Instagram. “Congratulations to everyone participating in the 5K run. Remember, take good care of your feet, stretch, hydrate, but most of all have FUN FUN FUN. Namaste.”
The meditation offering builds on the event’s broader focus on health and connection, giving fans a chance to engage with the band in a more personal and unexpected way.
The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day already invites attendees to run or walk along the Pacific while supporting a meaningful cause, but the addition of “Meditate with Mike Love” helps turn the event into a more lifestyle-driven experience, one that blends the band’s laid-back California roots with mindfulness and community.
As the band continues its 2026 tour, this first-of-its-kind move shows how even legacy acts are finding new ways to connect with fans—proving that their influence extends far beyond the stage.
