Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 30-key hotel in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, set to be part of its SeleQtions portfolio.
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed an agreement to add a new property to its SeleQtions portfolio in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. The hotel, known as Kamala Castle, will be restored and relaunched with 30 rooms. The property, originally built in the 1940s, will maintain its Art Deco architectural style and vintage detailing.
The project is a collaboration between IHCL and JK Urbanscapes Developers Limited. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a fitness center, a heated swimming pool, and treatment rooms. These amenities are designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers.
Mussoorie, a well-known hill station, has become a year-round destination due to improved connectivity. The region is noted for its colonial architecture and scenic views of the Himalayas. Popular attractions in the area include Mall Road, Kempty Falls, Company Garden, Mussoorie Lake, and Bhatta Falls.
The addition of Kamala Castle aligns with IHCL’s strategy to strengthen its presence in key leisure markets. The partnership with JK Urbanscapes Developers Limited continues the collaboration between the two companies, aiming to revitalize the heritage property.
