The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the launch of a new hotel, Gateway Coorg, in the heart of Karnataka’s coffee country. This new addition to IHCL’s portfolio is in response to the growing demand for leisure and wellness destinations in the region.
Gateway Coorg is set amidst lush rainforests and scenic trails. The hotel offers 55 spacious rooms and suites designed to blend with the tranquility of its natural surroundings. With an array of dining options, guests can enjoy regional and global flavors at the Ghat’s Café, unwind at the Coorg Cellar, or savor artisanal coffee blends at the Coffee Lounge. The menu features traditional Kodava cuisine along with contemporary favorites.
The hotel’s wellness and recreation facilities include a spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fully equipped fitness center. Commenting on the opening, R Subbaiah Pandian, General Manager of Gateway Coorg, emphasized the hotel’s commitment to providing guests with a deep sense of connection with nature and local culture.
Coorg, often called the ‘Scotland of India,’ is known for its rolling hills and coffee estates. With the opening of Gateway Coorg, IHCL now operates 26 hotels in Karnataka, including 13 under development.
