IHCL has signed a greenfield Tree of Life resort project in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. The planned property will operate as Tree of Life, Karaikudi.
The 46-key resort will be in Karaikudi, in the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu. Its design will draw on Chettiar architecture and incorporate traditional elements alongside contemporary comforts.
The property will include an all-day dining restaurant featuring Chettinad cuisine. Planned wellness and recreation facilities include a swimming pool, gym and spa.
The signing supports IHCL’s strategy to expand in emerging leisure destinations amid growing interest in heritage-led and experiential travel. Karaikudi is attracting leisure travelers and cultural enthusiasts.
Karaikudi is a heritage town in Tamil Nadu known for its architecture and Chettinad mansions. The planned resort will offer experiences rooted in local culture.
The project continues the ongoing partnership between IHCL and AMPA Group and adds another development to it.
With the addition of the hotel, IHCL will have 33 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including 14 under development.
