IHCL has entered into a strategic partnership to expand its Ginger brand with 10 new hotels across the southern states of India. The agreement involves a capital-light operating lease model and is a collaboration with Madison, the hospitality platform of Terminus Group, and JV Ventures.
The expansion will include both greenfield and brownfield projects. The first confirmed project under this agreement is a 75-room Ginger hotel in Genome Valley, Telangana. This location is strategically placed in the state’s research and development hub and will be the first branded hotel in the area. The hotel will feature a restaurant and fitness center, catering to business travelers with facilities for meetings and extended stays. The Genome Valley hotel is expected to support the local industrial corridor by offering modern business facilities and social spaces.
The partnership plans to develop these hotels over the next three years, with a construction investment estimated at INR 500 crores. The new hotels will be located in industrial and spiritual towns throughout southern India, aligning with IHCL’s strategy to grow its presence in the midscale segment.
