IHG Hotels & Resorts added more than 4,000 rooms to its pipeline in the Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean (MLAC) region in the past year. The company now has nearly 400 open and pipeline properties in the region as of the fourth quarter of 2025. Mexico is IHG’s fifth-largest market globally, with continued expansion in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Peru.

Recent hotel openings in the MLAC region include Garner Mazatlán Beach, Holiday Inn Express Condesa Mexico City, Hotel Indigo Playa del Carmen, voco Surfside Aruba, and Hotel Indigo Bridgetown Barbados. Garner Mazatlán Beach marks the debut of IHG’s midscale conversion brand in Mexico, located in Mazatlán’s Cerritos neighborhood. The hotel features 118 rooms and suites with city and ocean views, direct beach access, a pool, and a gym.

Holiday Inn Express Condesa Mexico City is located on Avenida Insurgentes Sur in the Condesa neighborhood and offers 76 rooms, a ground-floor lobby with work tables, a business center, and meeting rooms. Hotel Indigo Playa del Carmen, near the Caribbean Sea, provides 60 guest rooms, the Mayan Bistro restaurant, and event space.

Voco Surfside Aruba, near Queen Beatrix International Airport, features 69 rooms and suites, an outdoor pool, and the Nook restaurant. The property is part of the brand’s regional expansion, which includes six additional voco hotels planned in Mexico. Hotel Indigo Bridgetown Barbados, in the Hastings neighborhood on the island’s South Coast, offers 132 rooms and suites with balconies, spa-style bathrooms, a rooftop lounge, onsite cafes, and the Compass restaurant.

IHG’s partnership with Iberostar Beachfront Resorts provides all-inclusive resorts in destinations including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Aruba. Renovations are underway at Iberostar Waves Tucan and Iberostar Waves Quetzal in Mexico, as well as JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar in Jamaica.

Upcoming openings in the region include InterContinental Miyana and Kimpton El Castelar in Mexico City, and the first of three planned Holiday Inn hotels in the Dominican Republic, beginning with Holiday Inn Puerto Plata. Additional signings include properties for Hotel Indigo and voco hotels in Mexico City, as well as two new Holiday Inn hotels in Belmopan, Belize, and Monteria, Colombia.
