IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the expansion of its voco brand in Southern Europe with nine new hotel signings and openings, adding more than 1,000 rooms across France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is advancing its voco brand in Southern Europe with nine new hotel signings and openings. This expansion will introduce over 1,000 additional rooms across key markets, including France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye. The development is part of IHG’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the premium segment in the region.
The new projects include both signings and openings. Among the signings, voco Parma & Congressi in Italy is set to open in the first half of 2026, featuring 166 rooms, a wellness center, and extensive meeting spaces. voco The 7 – Lisbon will mark the brand’s entry into Portugal with 71 rooms, also expected to open in the first half of 2026. In Rome, voco Rome Villa Borghese is scheduled to open in mid-2026, offering 154 rooms near Villa Borghese Park.
In Spain, voco Valladolid City will introduce the brand to Valladolid with an 80-room hotel opening in 2026. France will see the addition of voco Nantes, set to open in December 2028 with 127 rooms, located near Nantes train station and the Cité des Congrès de Nantes.
Recent openings include voco Antalya – Konyaaltı in Türkiye, featuring 118 rooms in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya. voco Bilbao – City has opened in Spain’s Irala neighborhood with 91 rooms, offering proximity to attractions like the Guggenheim Museum. voco Madrid – Las Tablas is expected to open shortly, providing 132 rooms in Madrid’s Las Tablas area. Additionally, voco Nola – Naples Vulcano Buono in Italy is set to open imminently with 143 rooms near Naples.
These developments are part of voco’s growing portfolio, which now includes 107 open hotels and 102 in the pipeline globally. The brand’s expansion in Southern Europe aligns with increasing demand for premium hospitality in the region.
