In Brief: IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a 207-key conversion hotel in Shinjuku and an 81-key new-build hotel in Ginza under its Noted Collection brand.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has introduced Noted Collection in Japan through agreements for two Tokyo hotels with separate ownership partners.
The first agreement, with SC Capital Partners, covers a 207-key conversion hotel in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district. The property is near Golden Gai in an area of commercial, retail and entertainment activity.
The Shinjuku hotel will undergo renovation and rebranding before opening in 2027. It will operate with its own identity under the Noted Collection brand and include a lobby connected to a restaurant and café area.
SC Capital Partners acquired the property through its Japan Hospitality Fund.
The second agreement, with An Consulting, covers an 81-key new-build hotel in Ginza. Scheduled to open in 2029, the property will be located in the Ginza 8-chome district within walking distance of Shimbashi Station and Ginza Station.
The project will mark IHG’s first hotel in Ginza. Plans include family-friendly suites, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness center. The property will incorporate elements of its Ginza location.
The two Tokyo projects are the first Noted Collection hotel signings in Japan. The Shinjuku property is the brand’s first conversion property signed in the country, while the Ginza project is its first new-build signing in Japan.
Noted Collection launched earlier this year as IHG’s 21st brand. The collection is intended for independent properties and provides participating owners access to IHG’s enterprise and commercial platforms and IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
The Noted Collection pipeline also includes Theobalds Estate, Noted Collection by IHG, in the United Kingdom, and Cantonal Hotel Riyadh Noted Collection by IHG in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
