IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Sirayane Hospitality to open a 67-room Kimpton hotel in Marrakech by late 2026.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a franchise agreement with Sirayane Hospitality to develop the Kimpton Marrakech, marking the brand’s entry into the Moroccan market. The new hotel is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026 and will feature 67 rooms. This development represents IHG’s third hotel signing in Morocco.
The Kimpton Marrakech will be located approximately seven kilometers from Marrakesh-Menara Airport, providing convenient access for international travelers. The hotel will be located about a 20-minute drive south of the Medina and Hivernage districts, an area known for scenic views of the Atlas Mountains and its appeal to leisure travelers seeking a quieter environment outside the city center.
The hotel will include a lobby lounge, all-day dining venues, a spa, a fitness center, and swimming pools. A rooftop restaurant will also be part of the offerings, enhancing the food and beverage experience for guests. The design and amenities are intended to create a social hub for both visitors and locals.
This project is part of IHG’s strategy to expand its luxury and lifestyle footprint in Morocco, a country experiencing growth in its tourism sector. Marrakech, known for its cultural heritage and as a gateway to the Atlas Mountains, attracts a significant portion of Morocco’s tourists. The city’s popularity as a luxury travel destination is supported by international demand and government investment in tourism infrastructure.
IHG’s partnership with Sirayane Hospitality, a local hospitality operator with extensive experience in Marrakech, is expected to leverage local expertise to establish the Kimpton brand in the region. The introduction of the Kimpton brand in Marrakech aligns with IHG’s broader expansion plans across Morocco, which include a pipeline of luxury, lifestyle, and premium hotels to meet the country’s tourism ambitions.
